Original post author: Jessica This building, known as the Usen Castle, is located at Brandeis University in Waltham. It was originally built in the 1920's for use at a medical school, and has since been converted into housing for Brandeis undergraduates. Unfortunately it has fallen into disrepair over the years and the university has proposed to have it (mostly) demolished. As a part of a project for school, I recently attended the demolition hearing at the Waltham Historical Commission where they voted to place a one year demolition delay on the property. See it while you can! I have a feeling that after the year is up, the castle will be coming down.
