My fourth original bandana design is officially complete! I’ll be bringing a batch of these with me to Electric Forest this June.
Similar to my last two bandana projects, this was drawn entirely in Procreate on my iPad. The art took me several months to complete; drawing here and there on evenings and weekends. I commissioned the screen printing.
Jessica tie-dyed about half of the bandanas in a galactic color combination: blue, teal, and magenta. I love how these colors blend into purples where they overlap. They sometimes look like a night sky, which works well with the illustration.
I value the lessons I learned while drawing this bandana: spend more time in the early conceptual planning stage, more colors isn’t always better, smaller line thicknesses means more detail - but more detail isn’t always better! And, most importantly, if progress is going slow, then it might be time to do some erasing in order to move forward.
Note: These are FREE bandanas for other festival attendees. If you payed money for your bandanas, then you didn’t get it first hand from me!

It looks like my blog got linked from Facebook. How fun it is to get all of these views and comments! I design and make these bandanas to share with fellow fans, so I'm delighted to get some in the mail to those who have commented/emailed me thus far. I will be reaching out via email over the next day or two.
However, as of this morning, I am officially all out of Electric Forest bandanas.
I am planning to bring a batch of new 2024 bandanas with me to Electric Forest next year. Perhaps the Forest will lead me to you and you'll be a lucky recipient :)
if anyone has an EF 23’ I’d literally melt for it. It was my first Forest and it really meant a lot to me as it was also my 30th birthday and I literally don’t have any merch from it to commemorate mean going so this would’ve been perfect.
