Original post author: Ryan On day one, we went on a tour of the Olympic training facility in Colorado Springs. This was an interesting tour, but we thought the facilities looked a little dated. On the second day, we took the Cog Railroad up to the top of Pike's Peak. The summit elevation was over 14,000 ft - and the temperature at the top was around 30 degrees (even though it was 80+ degrees at the base). There were good views from the top, and a lot of wind. The railroad ride was fun - it took about 90 minutes each way. After the Cog Railroad, we spent some time in a town called Manitou, which was great. It was like a beach town (even though it obviously didn't have a beach).
