Brewer's Tap and Table

Original post author: Ryan A new restaurant named Brewer's Tap and Table recently opened at the former location of Watch City Brewery on Moody St in Waltham. Jess and I have been waiting for this place to open for well over a year now. We originally thought that this was going to be associated with Boston Beer Works, but that is not the case at all. We have a very luke-warm opinion of this restaurant as of right now. The beer selection seemed good, but nowadays a good beer list isn't too hard to find. The food seemed over-ambitious and weird, and portion sizes were smaller than they should have been. This might sound overly-specific, but Jess said that their meats didn't have a good char - and I agree. We noticed that the place had no sign in front of it, and we asked the waiter when they would get a sign installed. He seemed to indicate that the owner was thinking about not having a sign ever. What?? Why!?? Moody Street could have benefited from a bar that this bar could have been. Maybe this place will improve over the next few months. I just hope they make it that long if they choose to not have a sign...
