I think Jess and I have already informed everyone we know about our prospective dog, but I'll post this picture as a mere formality to keep the journal up-to-date. We chose Flora, and now we are thinking of other name options. She is still too young to bring home, so we will need to wait a few more weeks.
Tonight, we went to a party dressed as Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World. Excellent. Also, that was 100% my real hair.
Ryan's friend Matt got married in Rochester, NY so we decided to make it into a short road trip. We stopped at a few places along the way, saw some family and friends, and met some good new people.
Pictures from top left: impromptu tour of the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University, it was huge!; the largest breakfast I have ever accidentally ordered, at a diner we found along the way; 1AM casino run to Turning Stone where we kept our streak going by winning at Roulette; all dressed up for Matt's wedding
No matter how many times Pete and Jodi try to convince you that they don't own the game Wits and Wagers, don't believe them. Here is the photo evidence. Also, remember that time when Casey thought that Disc-mans were invented in 185B.C.?
Even on my worst days, this guy knows how to make me smile.
I met Sam at the bowling alley the other day to do some candlepin. He whooped my butt. I was definitely better at rolling gutter balls on the left side though. We then had an intense Mrs Pac Man showdown. I was able to secure that victory, but I suspect a rematch is in the near future.
Last weekend we happened upon a hole-in-the-wall bar named The Office. We all got some not-so-great beers and enjoyed the so-so atmosphere. Jess gave me a few urgent looks when I started to do my Donald Trump impressions, as she thought that might upset the clientele - which she was very likely correct about. The trouble is, you can't really do a Donald Trump impression quietly. You need to speak loudly, it's a part of the impression. And it's really a tremendous impression. I've seen other impressions and their just a disaster, just terrible. And let me tell you something, people adore this impression. Big league.
Vincent is going to be AJ from "Blaze" this year for Halloween.
Vincent playing with papa ❤️
Between working late and finishing homework, Ryan and I had an incredible time enjoying Waltham this weekend. We enjoyed an especially good meal at Moody's Backroom and then a multi course meal at Brelundi which the chef helped curate. We are really loving this city these days.
